Windscreen de-icer is a highly effective windscreen cleaning product that thaws frozen windscreens within seconds. Frozen and additionally smeared windows are a frequently underestimated accident risk in commercial fleets, because drivers leave under time pressure before visibility is completely clear. The difference to mechanical ice scraping lies in speed and material protection: the product chemically dissolves the ice layer, so that it can be removed with the rubber lip without effort. Scratches on windows and damaged windscreen wipers, as they occur when scraping on thick ice, are thus avoided. According to the data sheet, the product is glass, paint, rubber and plastic compatible, so it can also be used in the area of seals and attachments. For companies with many vehicles, this means significantly shorter departure preparation on frosty days and fewer delays in tour schedules. The product is highly flammable and harmful if swallowed, storage and handling must be regulated accordingly.
Spray the product undiluted onto the frozen window and allow it to take effect briefly. Once the ice layer loosens, remove and pull off the ice from the glass with a rubber lip or a squeegee. For very thick layers of ice, repeat the process instead of scraping mechanically. To prevent windows from freezing or fogging up inside, activate the window heating and ventilation during de-icing. Liquid and vapor are highly flammable: do not use near ignition sources or open flames; ensure ventilation in enclosed halls. Avoid ingestion, prevent eye contact, and in case of eye contact, rinse thoroughly with water. Do not allow the container to heat up in the passenger compartment.

According to the data sheet, it is safe for glass, paint, rubber and plastic, making it suitable for use on window seals and trim. Avoid contact with ignition sources. For sensitive films, tinted windows and plastic covers, test in an inconspicuous area beforehand.
Depending on the ice thickness, approximately 30 to 60 ml are needed per windscreen. A 500 ml spray bottle thus lasts for around 10 to 15 de-icings, and a 10-litre canister for refilling for about 200 to 300 applications.
