Bio-Ölbinder is a binder for leaked liquids based on pure calcium sulfate. The granules contain no chemical additives, are biodegradable, and pH-neutral. It has been tested by the Hygiene Institute and the State Materials Testing Office of North Rhine-Westphalia and approved according to the guidelines of the Oil Binder Requirements Testing Methods. The product differs from simple mineral scattering materials due to its special granule composition: oils of various viscosities, lubricants, fuels, antifreeze, brake fluids, solvents, paints, and greases are bound securely and very quickly. The granules are non-toxic, low-dust, and non-slip. This is doubly relevant for businesses: the risk of slipping on the affected surface is immediately mitigated, and the risk of fire from leaked fuels and operating fluids is reduced. The low dust content also reduces the exposure of employees during spreading and sweeping. Consumption is economical; an area of approximately 40 square meters can be covered with 20 kilograms. This makes the product suitable for storage in emergency stations as well as for the daily removal of smaller leaks.
Depending on the degree of contamination, liberally sprinkle the organic oil binder over the spilled liquid and allow it to take effect. As soon as the granules turn dark, saturation is reached. Then, sweep up the saturated granules with a broom and shovel or a sweeping machine. In case of heavy contamination, repeat the process. Used oil binders must be disposed of according to the waste code number. If substances other than oils were absorbed, the respective substance must be specified during disposal, noting that it is bound to the absorbent material. Afterward, clean any residual oil film on the surface with an alkaline floor cleaner. Store containers dry.

Usable on absorbent and non-absorbent surfaces such as concrete, screed, asphalt, and industrial floorings. Binds oils of various viscosities, lubricants, fuels, antifreeze, brake fluids, solvents, paints, and greases. Since the granulate is based on calcium sulfate, it is pH-neutral and does not chemically attack substrates. Not a substitute for professional cleaning of residual oil films and not intended for binding reactive or hot media.
20 kilograms of organic oil binder are sufficient for an area of around 40 square meters, depending on the degree of contamination. A pallet with 40 bags of 20 kilograms each thus theoretically covers approximately 1,600 square meters of leakage area.
