ASPHALT-EX WM is a water-miscible tar and asphalt remover based on a multi-component mixture in the isoaliphatic range. In contrast to classic water-insoluble cold cleaners, the product is water-soluble and forms a white emulsion when rinsed off, allowing dissolved tar and bitumen to be carried away with the rinse water instead of smearing on the surface. The product is readily biodegradable and dissolves tar, asphalt, and bitumen, as well as oils and greases. It is ideally suited for vehicles and equipment in road construction, such as trucks, flatbed trucks, rollers, asphalt pavers, and tools, where daily bitumen residues occur and need to be removed quickly before they harden. Since the product has a mild odor, it is well-suited for spraying and nebulizing, even in halls and wash bays. When using high-pressure cleaners, manual removal of contamination can often be avoided, which significantly reduces the time required per vehicle.
Spray ASPHALT-EX WM undiluted onto the soiled area. For lighter soiling, the product can be diluted with water up to 1:10. Allow to act, then loosen tar and asphalt with a brush, sponge or similar aid and rinse with water. Rinse until the white emulsion is completely washed off. When using high-pressure cleaners, manual loosening may not be necessary. Application is possible by dipping, spraying or wiping. Discharge the resulting rinse water into a suitable separator and observe local drainage regulations. Wear protective gloves and eye protection, and ensure adequate ventilation.
Spray neat. For lighter soiling, can be diluted with water up to 1:10.

When sprayed neat, at approximately 0.2 to 0.4 liters per square meter, one liter is sufficient for around 3 to 5 square meters of heavily bitumen-contaminated surface. When applied diluted 1:10 to light residues, the treatable area increases significantly accordingly.
