Product features
  • Aqueous emulsion without solvents, non-flammable
  • Silicone and wax-free, paint-friendly with proper application
  • Prevents welding spatter from sticking to fixtures
  • Suitable for MIG/MAG and shielded metal arc welding
  • Undiluted application with a hand sprayer, no pre-mixing required
Due to the prescribed very thin application, approximately 15 to 25 milliliters per square meter of treated surface are required. A 10-liter canister is thus theoretically sufficient for several hundred square meters of workpiece surface or for a large number of fixtures and welding nozzles in shift operation.

Description

The weld release agent prevents welding spatter from sticking to tools and workpieces. It is suitable for gas metal arc welding and shielded metal arc welding, is silicone-free and wax-free, and non-flammable. Unlike solvent-based release sprays, the product is an aqueous emulsion without solvents, which means there is no additional solvent load in the welding booth and no increased fire load at the workplace. The silicone-free nature is crucial for downstream processes: silicone residues lead to crater formation during painting. With proper application, treated workpieces are suitable for subsequent painting. For locksmiths and metal construction companies, this means less rework due to grinding and chiseling off adhering beads, less wear on welding nozzles and fixtures, and shorter cycle times per assembly. The application is undiluted and very thin with a hand atomizer or comparable spray device. A ready-to-use product is delivered, which can be provided directly at the welding workstation without a mixing station. Before post-treatment by painting or hot-dip galvanizing, the manufacturer recommends a test and, if necessary, cleaning of the workpiece.

Product application

  • First, clean the workpieces of any residue. Apply the release agent undiluted, spraying it on very thinly and evenly. Avoid applying too much to prevent porosity in the weld metal and to prevent hydrogen-induced cracks in sensitive steels under critical stress. The agent must not get into the weld seam. Apply with a spray device, such as a hand atomizer. After spraying cold welding nozzles, remove any drips. Shake well before use. Before further treatment of the workpieces by painting or hot-dip galvanizing, a test and, if necessary, cleaning are recommended. Do not inhale spray mist and only work in well-ventilated areas; use existing extraction systems at the welding workstation.
  • Ready to use, do not dilute. Spray a very thin, even coat without diluting. Shake well before use.
  • Welding fixtures, clamping devices, mounting plates, welding nozzles and gas nozzles, workpieces and assemblies in gas-shielded and manual electrode welding, welding tables and supports in locksmiths' workshops, metal construction, and production lines.
  • Aqueous emulsion without solvents, silicone- and wax-free, non-flammable. With proper application, treated workpieces are suitable for subsequent painting. Do not allow to get into the weld seam. Before hot-dip galvanizing or painting, perform a test and, if necessary, cleaning. For sensitive steels under critical stress, apply particularly thinly.
  • Due to the prescribed very thin application, approximately 15 to 25 milliliters per square meter of treated surface are required. A 10-liter canister is thus theoretically sufficient for several hundred square meters of workpiece surface or for a large number of fixtures and welding nozzles in shift operation.
