Product features
  • Chemically melts ice, eliminating the need for mechanical scraping
  • Protects against re-freezing after de-icing
  • Can also be used undiluted as a door lock de-icer
  • Reduces downtime for early shifts and winter services
  • Protects the windshield, avoiding scratches
For an icy car windshield, approximately 50 to 80 milliliters are needed, depending on the ice thickness. A 5-liter container is thus sufficient for around 60 to 100 applications, and a 10-liter container for about 125 to 200 applications. For commercial vehicle windshields, consumption will be correspondingly higher.

Description

The WINDSHIELD DE-ICER frees vehicle windows from ice and frozen snow and protects the window from refreezing after de-icing. Since the ice is chemically dissolved and not mechanically removed, scratching is eliminated, the window is spared, and scratches in the glass are avoided. For fleets and winter road maintenance services, the time savings in early shifts are particularly relevant: vehicles are ready for use without long downtimes, which directly impacts operational readiness during column starts and tour planning. Additionally, the product can be used as a door lock de-icer and sprayed undiluted into frozen locks. The product is highly flammable and harmful if swallowed, and causes severe eye irritation. Storage and handling must be organized accordingly, particularly separation from ignition sources and storage in ventilated areas. For distribution to drivers, it is recommended to decant it into labeled spray bottles so that the hazardous substance labeling remains on the vehicle.

Product application

  • Spray directly onto the frozen pane, let it work briefly, and remove the melted ice with a rubber squeegee or scraper. In case of heavy icing, repeat the process instead of working mechanically. As a door lock de-icer, spray the product directly into the lock. After starting the vehicle, set the ventilation to defrost the windshield so that the pane dries and does not fog up again. The product is highly flammable (H225, H226), harmful if swallowed (H302), and causes serious eye irritation (H319). Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, and open flames, do not smoke. Avoid eye contact; in case of contact, rinse with water for several minutes. Do not spray on hot engine parts and store the container tightly closed in a well-ventilated place.
  • Ready to use, do not dilute. Spray undiluted onto the frozen windshield, for door lock de-icing spray undiluted into the lock.
  • Front, rear and side windows of cars, vans, commercial vehicles, and buses, vehicle door locks, vehicles in winter service and emergency fleets, as well as fleets with outdoor parking spaces without a garage.
  • For vehicle glass and door locks. After de-icing, protection against re-freezing is provided. Avoid contact with hot engine parts and ignition sources, as the product is highly flammable. For sensitive paint, rubber, and plastic parts, avoid prolonged contact and, if in doubt, test in an inconspicuous area.
