At 10 milliliters per 10 liters of solution, one liter of defoamer treats approximately 100 batches and thus about 1,000 liters of cleaning solution. A 30-liter container is theoretically sufficient for about 30,000 liters, and a 60-liter container for about 60,000 liters.

Description

Schaumbremse is a concentrated, solvent-free defoamer dispersion based on silicone oils. It is primarily used in extraction machines and automatic cleaning machines, but is also suitable for foam control in a wide variety of liquid media. The technical benefit lies in process reliability: excessive foaming in dirty water tanks, suction units, and circulation systems leads to loss of suction power, incorrect readings from level sensors, and in extreme cases, foam entering the turbine. Even very small additions destroy the foam of cleaning agents in the washing solution. The product can be diluted with water in any ratio and can be dosed directly into the cleaning solution or applied specifically to existing foam using a spray device. It should be noted that overdosing reduces the cleaning performance and wetting ability of the cleaning agents used, which is why the specified maximum amount should be observed. For businesses, this means consistent suction power, fewer interruptions in machine operation, and less wear on suction systems.

Product application

  • Add a maximum of 10 milliliters of foam inhibitor to 10 liters of cleaning solution and mix. Avoid higher dosages, as they reduce cleaning performance and wetting ability. If foam is already present, the product can be applied with a spray device; dilute 1:10 with water and spray directly onto the foam, which will then collapse. For extraction machines, it is recommended to dose into the dirty water tank to prevent foam from entering the suction blower. Do not use in plastic-containing systems or polymer dispersions. Keep the container closed after use and protect from frost.
  • Maximum 10 milliliters per 10 liters of cleaning solution. For spray application, pre-dilute 1:10 with water. Miscible with water in any ratio.
  • Extraction machines and spray extraction units, automatic cleaning machines and scrubber-driers, dirty water tanks, circulation and washing systems, and foam control in other liquid media.
  • Suitable for aqueous cleaning solutions and machine circuits. Not suitable for systems containing plastic or polymer dispersions. Since silicones interfere with the adhesion of paints and adhesives, contact with surfaces that are subsequently to be coated or painted should be avoided.
