Description

The Coverax special blend is a lawn seed mixture for establishing new, durable lawns and for repairing existing stands. The variety composition consists of 21% Lolium perenne TEMPRANO, 16% Lolium perenne ROY, 8% Lolium perenne TREND, 10% Lolium perenne NAKI, 30% Festuca rubra rubra REVERENT, 10% Lolium westerwoldicum NUSPRINT, and 5% Poa pratensis BALIN. The high proportion of perennial ryegrass ensures rapid establishment and high regenerative capacity, while the red fescue content provides density and resilience even under less favorable site conditions. For operators of sports facilities, schools, and residential complexes, this means short closure times after sowing and a surface that withstands foot traffic. The mixture is declared as a small EG-B package with identification number DE05-1035205 and mixture number DE055-4130508M for landscaping purposes, net content 10 kg.

Product application

  • Dig over the soil to spade depth, rake and level the surface, roll and allow to dry. Sow from April to October at 30 to 50 g/m² by hand or with a suitable machine, lightly rake in and roll. Fertilize after rolling. The new sowing must not dry out. When the grass is 8 to 10 cm high, make the first cut to a length of 5 cm, subsequent maintenance cuts to 3 to 4 cm. Fertilize regularly, several times at 20 g/m² according to the manufacturer's instructions, and always remove clippings. Scarify in spring to remove thatch and soil compaction.
  • Ready-to-use seed mixture, do not dilute. Sowing rate 30 to 50 g/m².
  • New installation of robust lawns, as well as repair and reseeding of existing lawns in residential and commercial complexes, sports facilities, schools, municipal green spaces, and recreational areas.
  • Pure seeds without chemical active ingredients. A prepared, finely crumbled soil is required. The new sowing must not dry out until germination. The data sheet does not contain information on unsuitable locations.
  • 10 kg are sufficient for approx. 300 m² of new seeding. For overseeding with a reduced sowing rate of 20 g/m², this corresponds to around 500 m².
