Description

Coverax Radiator Antifreeze Blue is an ethylene glycol-based radiator antifreeze concentrate that is used as an alternative to G 12 + and meets the requirements of many vehicle manufacturers. The corrosion protection is based on organic acid inhibitors, the product is free of amine, nitrite, phosphate, borate, and silicate and is miscible with other radiator antifreezes. When used correctly, it provides corrosion protection for over 250,000 kilometers in cars and up to 500,000 kilometers in trucks. In the corrosion tests according to ASTM D 3306, ASTM D 4340, and ASTM D 2570, the measured weight losses for copper, solder, brass, steel, cast iron, and aluminum are significantly below the permissible limits. The product exceeds the requirements of numerous standards, including ASTM D 3306, ASTM D 4985, SAE J 1034, BS 6580, AFNOR NF R 15-601, CUNA NC 956-16, UNE 26361-88, JIS K 2234, and NATO S 759, as well as a number of OEM specifications from Ford, GM, MAN, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, John Deere, and VAG, among others. For fleet operators, the broad approval means that one type is sufficient for mixed fleets.

Product application

  • To ensure effective protection, completely drain the cooling system before refilling and flush it with clean water. Then, prepare the required concentration according to the mixing table and fill it into the cooling system. It is recommended to have this carried out by a specialist workshop to avoid incorrect application. Bleed the system after filling, check the expansion tank level when warm and cold, and check the freezing point with a refractometer. Before filling, compare the vehicle manufacturer's release for the coolant specification used. Ethylene glycol is harmful if swallowed; avoid contact with skin and eyes, and dispose of used coolant according to the waste code.
  • Concentrate, mix with water according to the mixing table: 25 vol.-% result in minus 12 °C, 33 vol.-% minus 22 °C, 40 vol.-% minus 27 °C, 50 vol.-% minus 40 °C and 60 vol.-% minus 56 °C freezing point.
  • Cooling systems of passenger cars, trucks, buses, agricultural and construction machinery, as well as stationary engines and aggregates. For use during coolant changes, system repairs, seasonal preparation, and refilling after maintenance.
  • Based on ethylene glycol with organic acid inhibitors, free of amine, nitrite, phosphate, borate and silicate. Protects copper, solder, brass, steel, cast iron and aluminum with weight losses significantly below ASTM limits. Miscible with other coolants; vehicle manufacturer's approval is decisive. Do not fill undiluted and do not use in windshield washer systems.
  • A 20-liter canister yields approximately 40 liters of coolant with frost protection down to minus 40 °C at 50 vol.-%, and approximately 50 liters down to minus 27 °C at 40 vol.-%. This is enough to completely fill about five to seven passenger car cooling systems.
