Description

Wood oil is a specialized chemical-technical product for refreshing weathered wood indoors and outdoors. It penetrates unvarnished wood surfaces, restores the original natural color to grayed surfaces, and simultaneously creates a protective film against weathering. According to the data sheet, traces of weathering, small scratches, water stains, and dull spots disappear quickly, giving the treated wood an almost new appearance. The technical difference from pure wood cleaners is that wood oil does not remove material but rather replenishes and preserves it: the surface is nourished instead of sanded down. For businesses, this means that doors, door frames, fences, garden furniture, carports, and balcony cladding can be maintained without extensive sanding or painting. The application is thin and can be done with a cloth, brush, or spray method, so even larger areas can be treated in a manageable amount of time. Since the product is supplied ready for use, mixing and dosage control are eliminated, and maintenance intervals can be planned into ongoing property management.

Product application

  • Clean the substrate before treatment and allow it to dry completely; remove greying from heavily weathered areas beforehand. On smooth wooden surfaces, apply wood oil thinly and evenly with a lint-free cloth, then polish lightly if necessary. For outdoor use, application with a brush or by spraying is also possible. On highly absorbent substrates, a second coat can be applied after the first drying. Remove or rub in/polish off excess material with a clean cloth to prevent sticky spots. Oil-soaked cloths should be spread out to dry or disposed of safely due to the risk of spontaneous combustion. Create a test patch before use on valuable objects.
