Description

COVIL CONSERVATION is a fully synthetic surface protection based on multifunctional preservatives. The product protects metals from rust, saltwater, water, and other aggressive liquids, forming a touch-dry, non-tacky protective film. The crucial technical difference from thick-layer waxes lies in its low density of approximately 0.8: The product creeps into the finest cracks, folds, and overlaps, building corrosion protection precisely where road salt and moisture undermine conventional coatings. For municipal depots and fleet operators, this is particularly relevant for winter storage: snowplows and gritters, agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery measurably lose residual value due to salt corrosion, and the repair of corroded frames and attachments ties up workshop capacity. Since the film is not tacky, treated vehicles remain operable and attract less dust. Vehicles in a seawater climate can also be preserved with this product. The product is flammable and must be stored and processed accordingly.

Product application

  • Remove grease and oil from the surface before application; the substrate must be clean. Warm the product to about 20 degrees Celsius before processing and shake or stir well so that the ingredients are evenly distributed. Apply undiluted to the surfaces to be protected, using a brush, lambskin roller, pressure sprayer, or airless device. Processing temperature 5 to 30 degrees Celsius. For optimal protection, apply 2 to 3 coats. Drying time at 20 degrees Celsius is about 1.5 hours; allow sufficient ventilation between coats. The product is flammable (H226), may be fatal if swallowed and enters airways (H304), may cause respiratory irritation (H335), and may cause drowsiness or dizziness (H336). Use only in well-ventilated areas and away from ignition sources, do not breathe in spray mist, wear protective gloves and eye protection. Multi Clean Alka (Art. 257B) is suitable for later removal of the protective film.
  • Ready to use, do not dilute. Apply undiluted; for optimal protection, apply 2 to 3 coats. Warm to approximately 20 degrees Celsius before use and stir well.
  • Preservation of agricultural machinery, construction machinery, forestry machinery and snow removal vehicles in the municipal sector, tractors, trucks, low loaders, gritters, as well as vehicles and superstructures used in a seawater climate and thus exposed to saltwater.
  • For metals and steel structures susceptible to rust. Protects against saltwater, water, and other aggressive liquids. Its low density of approximately 0.8 allows it to penetrate the finest crevices. Forms a touch-dry, non-tacky film. Greasy and oily surfaces must be cleaned beforehand, otherwise the film will not adhere.
