Description

Covil INDU-GRUND is a special basic cleaner for all water-resistant, alkali-resistant floors and coverings. It dissolves stubborn deposits and wax coatings and is also used for cleaning industrial and workshop floors. Unlike maintenance cleaners, which only pick up loose dirt, the basic cleaner attacks the accumulated care layer itself and restores the original condition of the covering before a new coating is applied. The product is described as gentle yet extremely effective and highly dilutable, so that the concentration can be adjusted to the degree of soiling and the cost per square meter remains low. For property and operations management, this means predictable basic cleaning intervals instead of short-term special actions and restored slip resistance on workshop and hall areas. Before serial use, the resistance of the covering should be tested on a test area, especially for sensitive coverings such as linoleum.

Product application

  • First, create a test area in an inconspicuous spot and check the surface's resistance. Sweep or vacuum loose dirt beforehand. Dilute the product according to label instructions; for thick wax and grease layers, use a higher concentration. Apply the solution evenly to the floor and allow it to take effect, avoiding drying and working on large areas in sections. Mechanically break up dissolved layers with a pad, single-disc machine, or scrubber, remove the dirt, and rinse thoroughly with clear water. Allow the surface to dry completely before reapplying a protective layer. During the wet phase, secure against slip hazards with barriers and warning signs. Wear protective gloves and eye protection, and avoid splashes on adjacent alkali-sensitive components.
  • Highly dilutable, dilute according to degree of soiling and label instructions; use a stronger concentration for initial cleaning, a weaker concentration for intermediate cleaning
  • Industrial and workshop floors, hall and storage areas, corridors and stairwells in properties, sales and exhibition areas, all waterproof and alkali-resistant floors and coverings with built-up care or wax layers.
  • For all waterproof, alkali-resistant floors and coverings. Do not use on alkali-sensitive surfaces. For linoleum, parquet, and coated special coverings, a test area is mandatory, as alkaline basic cleaners can damage these coverings.
