Description

Cover-Zink AB is a zinc repair spray with 99% zinc purity for restoring cathodic corrosion protection to hot-dip galvanized structures. The bright, zinc-like shade is practically indistinguishable from fresh hot-dip galvanization – welds and defects remain inconspicuous after repair. The self-forming zinc oxide seals the surface and provides lasting protection against rust, corrosion, and weathering. The coating dries quickly, is resistant to many chemicals, and remains electrically conductive, making it suitable for use as a spot welding paint and as a conductive intermediate layer. For metal construction, steel construction, and maintenance, the product is the economical way to restore corrosion protection after welding and processing work in accordance with standards.

Product application

  • Thoroughly derust and degrease the substrate. Bring the can to room temperature and shake vigorously for approx. 2 minutes until the mixing ball moves freely. Apply in thin coats from a distance of 25–30 cm, allowing 5 minutes flash-off time between coats. Only use in well-ventilated areas.
  • Welds and imperfections on hot-dip galvanized structures, railings, scaffolding, steel construction, body construction, heat-carrying parts, spot welding preparation.
  • For steel and galvanized surfaces. Not for aluminum without pretreatment. Cover adjacent areas.
  • A 400ml can will cover approx. 1.5–2 m² of protected area with two coats.
