Description

COVER 21 is a water-free high-performance cleaner for electric motors, as well as electrical and mechanical systems. Since the product contains no electrolytes and is water-free, it remains non-conductive and can be processed under voltage. The dielectric strength is 28,000 volts, and the electrical conductivity at 20 degrees Celsius is below 10 s/cm. The crucial difference to aqueous industrial cleaners is that no disassembly, no drying time, and no subsequent rinsing are required: COVER 21 evaporates without residue, with an evaporation rate of 21. Insulating varnishes, paint, rubber, plastics, glass, ceramics, and metals are not attacked. The odor is exceptionally mild, which facilitates use in workshops and control room environments. Due to its creeping ability of 0.726, the product is also used as a crack testing medium. Greases and dirt, for example on transmission poles of generators, are quickly dissolved. For companies, this means shorter downtimes for maintenance, as components can be cleaned on-site and immediately put back into operation.

Product application

  • Spray soiled parts evenly and wipe off dissolved dirt. Alternatively, use a cloth soaked in COVER 21 and manually rinse or wipe the components. Then allow to evaporate completely; no rinsing with water is necessary. Before restarting live parts, wait until they are visibly dry. The product is flammable and can be fatal if swallowed and enters the airways. Work only in well-ventilated areas, do not inhale spray mist, keep away from ignition sources, and wear solvent-resistant protective gloves and eye protection. The relevant electrical safety regulations for working on live systems must be observed.
  • Ready to use, do not dilute. Apply undiluted by spraying or wiping.
  • Generators, alternators, insulators, electric motors, and electrical systems. Also, air conditioning units, televisions, radio and computer technology, circuit boards, traffic lights and signaling devices, capacitors, windings, motors, measuring instruments, and control cabinets. Additional use as a crack detection medium.
  • Insulation varnishes, paints, rubber, plastics, glass, ceramics, and metals are not affected. As this is a solvent-based product, a preliminary test on an inconspicuous area is advisable for sensitive plastics and fresh coatings. Not water-based, therefore no mixing with aqueous cleaning solutions.
