Description

ALUNAL is a special cleaner for facades and other building components made of anodised and aluminium, designed for anodically oxidised surfaces and aluminium alloys in construction. The concentrate is particularly effective against greasy and oily dirt. The technical difference to universal cleaners lies in the formulation: In addition to anionic-non-ionic surfactants with high dirt-dissolving and dispersing capabilities, ALUNAL contains complexing agents against scale formation and white tarnishing, protective colloids, stabilisers and dispersing agents for the detached dirt particles, as well as corrosion inhibitors to prevent attack on anodised and aluminium. With a pH value of 7.5 to 8, it is within the reference values of the Aluminiumzentrale (Aluminium Centre). For contractors, this means a predictable cleaning of high-quality facade elements without white tarnishing or staining, thus without the risk of costly rework on visible components. Subsequent preservation with ALU-CON gives the facade a uniform appearance and a protective film against aggressive pollutants.

Product application

  • Dilute ALUNAL with water depending on the degree of soiling, apply, and allow to work briefly. Rubbing with a cleaning cloth, nylon pad, or similar increases the cleaning effect. Then rinse thoroughly with water; high-pressure devices are also suitable for application and rinsing. Do not allow the cleaner to dry on the surface and always work section by section. For more stubborn dirt, ALUNAL S is intended as an intensified solution. After cleaning, preservation with ALU-CON is recommended, which forms a protective film to ward off aggressive pollutants and dirt. Wear protective gloves and safety glasses, and test material compatibility on a sample area beforehand for unknown alloys or coatings.
